For those dishes that need depth, richness, and a punch of what-is-that-deliciousness, this savoury drizzle brings the goods. Built on earthy sunflower microgreens and layered with sesame and tamari, it’s a total umami bomb.

Perfect for roasted veg, rice bowls, dumplings, or even slathered on toast with avocado. Warning: may cause obsessive drizzling.

Savoury Microgreen Drizzle

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sunflower microgreens don't skimp on packing that cup)
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp tamari or low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp maple syrup (optional for balance)
  • pinch ground black pepper
  • 1-2 tbsp water (to thin, as needed)

  • blender or food processor

Method
 

  1. Add sunflower microgreens, garlic, tamari, sesame oil, olive oil, vinegar/lemon juice, and maple syrup to a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add a tablespoon of water at a time to reach desired drizzling consistency.
  3. Taste and adjust—more lemon for zing, more tamari for saltiness, or a dash more sesame oil for richness.
  4. Pour into a jar and refrigerate. Use within 3–4 days for peak flavour.
